We have spent our whole careers in proving that under proper and steadfast management, we can provide some of the very finest hunting that the West can offer. What other state can you hunt all three species of elk in? What state is producing more B&C class Colombian blacktails than California?
Founder Wayne Long started managing private ranches for hunting way back in 1961. His son Gordon has been guiding for 30 years and has been managing properties across the West since 1989. What sets us apart is that we are hard-core outfitters AND wildlife managers. We believe that you must put something back onto the land if you want sustainable production of wildlife herds. We do that on every ranch we manage professionally.
How can we prove that we are the foremost outfitters in California? Well, for one, look in the Safari Club and Boone and Crockett record books. And second, look at our client list—it is a Who’s Who of hunting. We have guided 20 Weatherby Award winners, 14 SCI Hall of Fame inductees, and 15 SCI International Hunting Award winners, among others.
As we all know, a “quality” experience is more than just big animals. It’s also about securing top-notch guides, equipment, and support staff so that your trip runs like a well-oiled machine. We take pride in our logistics so that every detail is properly addressed. We also have only friendly, people oriented staff to insure that you have a great experience. We love to hunt and work with the land, and it shows.
Currently we offer hunts on six ranches in California. Each ranch offers a unique hunting opportunity. Our current offerings include Tule Elk, Roosevelt Elk, Columbian Black-Tailed Deer, CA Mule Deer, Black Bear, Wild Boar, Wild Turkey, Quail, Dove, Waterfowl, and squirrel hunting.
